Ultimate Juice with Beets, Apples, and Spinach

Ultimate Juice with Beets, Apples, and Spinach

This glass of healthfulness is known as my Ultimate Juice as it provides several servings of fruits and veggies including beets, carrots, and spinach along with apples, oranges, grapes, and blueberries. This super healthy juice is much easier to digest than would be a smoothie.

Kitchen Sink Smoothie

Kitchen Sink Smoothie

This smoothie is aptly named as it includes nearly everything but the kitchen sink itself. This smoothie has plenty of green vegetables, several servings of fruit, and several good-for-you seeds and nuts. It’s also incredibly easy to assemble: just chop everything into large pieces and throw it in the blender and you’ll have a frothy, healthy powerhouse of a way to start your morning. I use 1 frozen and 1 regular banana to help chill the smoothie and to make it creamy. Almonds add protein and the chia seeds are packed with essential nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber. Here’s to good health! Slainte! (Cheers in Irish)

    1. If the smoothie is too thick for your taste, you can add a bit more almond milk and blend for an additional 30 seconds.
